H.G. Bishop Karas
+ HG was born on November 18, 1965
+ HG joined the Coptic Orthodox Seminary School in 1983 and graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor Degree in Theological Sciences.
+ HG spent one year in the Egyptian military between 1988 – 1989.
+ HG served as a consecrated deacon for the Diocese of Tahta and Johaina from 1989 to 1992.
+ Later on that year, HG joined the Monastery of Saint Bishoy in Wady El Natroun, Egypt.
+ HG was ordained a monk on June 8, 1993 and was given the name of Abouna Karas El Orshalimy (Father Karas of Jerusalem).
+ HG served in Jerusalem from June 1993 until June 1995, then he returned to the Monastary of Anba Bishoy.
+ HG was ordained a priest on June 7, 1999 and served in England at the Diocese of Ireland, Scotland and North East England with HG Bishop Anthony until 2014.
+ HG received the rank of Hegomen on September 10, 2011.
+ HG was ordained a Bishop on June 1, 2014 and
+ HG was appointed Exarch of His Holiness Pope Tawadrous II of North America on August 2, 2014.
+ HG was enthroned as the Bishop of the Diocese of the states of Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and West Virginia on November 11, 2017.
+ HG was enthroned by a delegation of bishops appointed by HH Pope Tawadros II on December 2, 2017 at St. George Coptic Orthodox Church of Greater Phialdelphia.
