St. Mary – Lancaster, PA

+ Idea of having a church community started in October 1973.

+ The first liturgy as a community was held after purchasing the small church on Marietta Avenue on October 28, 1980. Prayed by H.G. Bishop Antonios Morcos and Fr. Shenouda El Baramousi (now H.G. Bishop Michael).

+ The community rented a place for prayer until the small church on Marietta Avenue was purchased in 1980.

+ The church was initially consecrated by H.G. Bishop Wissa in 1980.

+ The current church building was built, with construction beginning in December 2020.

+ HG Bishop Karas laid the cornerstone. Phase I of the new building was completed, with the first liturgy celebrated on October 8th, 2022.
