St. Mary & St. Mercurius – Conshohocken, PA

+ The idea of establishing a church began on December 4, 2009, coinciding with the feast of St. Mercurius.

+ The first liturgy as a community was held on January 6, 2010, which was also celebrated as Christmas Eve. It was prayed by Abouna Tadros of Maadi at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Devon.

+ The community rented St. Luke Lutheran Church in Devon to begin prayers on Saturdays starting from December 23, 2009.

+ The current current church, St. Mary and St. Mercurius Church, was purchased from the Philadelphia Catholic Diocese. The final contract for purchasing the church in Conshohocken was signed on June 22, 2016.

+ The church became the headquarters of the New Diocese after His Grace Anba Karas’s enthronement on December 2, 2017.
