St. Monica & St. Augustine – Elizabethtown, PA + The idea of establishing a church community began around the end of the year 2017 when Talaat and Laila Eid, along with others, invited His Grace Bishop Karas to discuss the establishment of a church during a dinner at Emad and Monica Iskandar’s house in Mechanicsburg, PA, on December 26, 2017. This initiative aimed to create a church primarily catering to young adults of second and third generations, allowing them to practice their Coptic Orthodox Faith in English. + The first liturgy as a community was held on February 17, 2018, at a church in Middletown, PA.
+ The community rented Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elizabethtown, PA, initially for 11 months, starting from February 17, 2018.

Initially, the community had rotating priests from surrounding areas, including: – Fr. David Milad

– Fr. Seraphim Adel + The church purchased the First Church of God on 144 S Market St, Elizabethtown, PA, in July 2022, with the assistance of His Grace Bishop Karas.
